FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A: If this is your first-ever massage treatment, please let us know—we're here to make the experience as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Before the session begins, you will be asked about any current discomfort, specific problem areas you'd like addressed, or if you're simply looking to relax. You'll then be given privacy and a few moments to undress to your comfort level, lie on the massage table, and get settled under the sheets.

The massage will begin with lighter pressure to help ease into the muscles, and the pressure will be adjusted based on your preference.

Open communication is encouraged—if at any point you'd like more or less pressure, just let your therapist know.

Your comfort is our top priority.

  • A: There’s no strict rule on how to prepare—just come as you are!

That said, we do recommend keeping the rest of your day as relaxed as possible so you can fully enjoy the benefits of your massage. Giving yourself time to unwind afterward helps your body absorb the full effects of the treatment.

  • A: There is no specific dress code for your massage session—feel free to wear whatever is comfortable for you.

During the treatment, you will undress to your comfort level. You will be properly draped at all times, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Your comfort, privacy, and safety are always our top priority.

  • A. Draping is mandatory during all massage sessions. You will be fully draped at all times, with only the area being worked on being exposed.

This policy is in place to maintain a professional and respectful environment for all clients.

  • A. Yes, massage therapy is generally safe for most people.

However, if you have specific health conditions or concerns, it's important to discuss them with your therapist beforehand. They may adjust the treatment or recommend alternatives based on your health needs.

  • A. Some mild soreness or tenderness is common after a deep tissue or therapeutic massage, especially if you have tight muscles. This should subside within a day or two.

If you experience significant pain, notify your therapist.

  • A. Communication is key. If the pressure is too intense or you're feeling uncomfortable, let your therapist know right away. They will adjust the technique or pressure to ensure your comfort throughout the session.

  • A. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and things can happen out of our control. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.

In most cases, we are happy to waive cancellation fees, especially in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

If you are feeling unwell or sick, we kindly ask that you cancel your appointment to help prevent the spread of illness and maintain a safe environment for all. Your health and well-being are our priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • A: If you have both primary and secondary insurance coverage, we do our best to make the billing process smooth for you. In many cases, we can direct bill both, as long as either your primary or secondary provider is Alberta Blue Cross, GreenShield, or Sun Life—these insurers allow for coordination of benefits through direct billing.

However, if neither your primary nor secondary insurance is with Alberta Blue Cross, GreenShield, or Sun Life, then unfortunately direct billing for the secondary plan is not possible. In this case, you’ll be required to pay out of pocket for the remaining balance after your primary coverage is applied.

You will receive a detailed receipt that you can use to submit a claim to your secondary insurance provider for reimbursement.

If you’re unsure about how your coverage works or who your primary insurer is, feel free to contact us ahead of your appointment. We're happy to help you navigate the process.
